Sharizaar O'Heart DO RCST - Craniosacral Therapist.

I am a registered Craniosacral Therapist and member of the Pacific Association of Craniosacral Therapists.

I began my complimentary medicine training in 1992 when I qualified as an osteopath in the UK after completing a 4 year osteopathy diploma.  I trained with John Wernham one of the founders of osteopathy in the UK. I learnt that the body is a self regulating mechanism and that all adjustments to the body need to be integrated to the body as a whole.  We are a whole human being.

Following my desire to work with babies and children in 1995 I successfully completed a one year post graduate training in Craniosacral Therapy.  I then gained invaluable experience working for 2 years at the Osteopathic Centre for Children in London before returning to Australia in 1997.

In Australia I chose to register as a Craniosacral Therapist as the cranial approach was where I wanted to develop my skills as a practitioner.  I integrated what I had learnt as an osteopath especially my understanding of body mechanics and I now align the body through the principles of the cranial approach which was discovered by Dr William Sutherland in the 1930’s.  I feel I have come full circle.

Part of my growth as a natural health practitioner has been about my own health journey.  I continue to undertake post graduate studies to further my skills, including the brain and central nervous system, trauma and how bones breathe.

I treat the whole body and all ages from babies to the elderly and all ages in between and even my patients pets upon request!   Everyone deserves the experience to be calm and still and every patient is unique with their own health journey.  My intention is to listen to your concerns and then listen to your body so it can tell me what tissues are compressed or contracted, then through gentle touch these can be released to increase the body’s vitality.  It is a natural healing process.  I always will explain to you what I find and provide a treatment plan for your recovery.

In Jan 2023 I qualified as a certified Proctor Gallagher consultant as I deepen my skills as a personal coach.  This has enabled me to work on a deeper level with clients, as our thoughts do affect the health of our body.

All my work is about aligning my clients more wholly to themselves, through the body with Craniosacral Therapy or through the mind in my Proctor Gallagher coaching.  It is about reconnecting to our own unique gifts and allowing ourselves to live a well and fulfilling life.

In my spare time, I enjoy yoga, walking, music, movies, reading and catching up for coffee with friends and family.  I have two adult sons who contribute to my happiness.

I am available for consultations in Frankston, Reach Health in Elsternwick and on Zoom.
